Do you know how to manage bed bugs?

Bed Bug Information Cards:
What You Need to Know.
Bed bugs are back –– big time––and IPM programs are responding with crucial information on prevention and control. The New York State IPM Program has released handy, wallet-size cards (see samples at right) with tips for travelers, college students, and anyone who needs to manage bed bugs or wants to avoid bringing them home. Download the cards as a PDF file.

Guidelines for Prevention and Management of Bed Bugs in Common Living Settings. Bed bug prevention, management, education, and awareness are the subject of a new manual from the New York State IPM Program’s Jody Gangloff-Kaufmann. The publication, developed with funding from the Northeastern IPM Center, is intended for municipal agencies, housing and living facility managers, and the public. It includes fact sheets that can be used as stand-alone educational documents. Although the manual was developed for homeless shelters, the broad protocols can be easily adapted by anyone in group homes or other communal living situations. You can contact Gangloff-Kaufmann for a printed copy (631.420.2022, e-mail jlg23@cornell.edu) or download the guide as a PDF file.
