Travel and learn through
a unique IPM experience

Chesapeake Bay Watershed EcoTour. In fall 2009, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Wholeness for Humanity will host a 710-mile EcoTour throughout the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. Traveling by various modes of clean transportation—biking, biodiesel vehicles, walking, and boating—participants will learn how to protect waterways through environmentally responsible behaviors, such as sustainable lawn and landscaping practices. This guided, interactive tour will range from the headwaters of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed in upstate New York to the southeastern shores of Virginia, where the Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean. At each destination along the way, the tour will include town hall meetings, school visits, environmental-themed performances, “green” retailer promotion, and local environmental achievement recognition events. For more information or a PDF brochure about this opportunity, contact EPA’s Ed Brandt (703.308.8699, e-mail brandt.edward@epa.gov).
