Project Coordinator

Project coordinator position available with an independent non-profit organization working to improve sustainability in agriculture and communities through Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Primary responsibility will be coordinating a new project designed to improve sustainability of fresh produce production, working with a national food retailer and its supply chain.

The individual in this position will coordinate standards development and testing with producers, retail managers and project scientists; training; communications; and project evaluation and reporting. Experience in and demonstrated commitment to sustainable agriculture required. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate efforts of multiple partners including meeting timelines within budget. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Access a plus. References required.

Flexible schedule, 36-40 hours per week, hourly compensation ranging from $14 to $15 commensurate with skills and experience. Benefits include health insurance and paid vacation. Located in near west Madison near Hilldale, on bus routes.

Project Assistant

Full-time project assistant position available with an independent non-profit organization working to improve sustainability in agriculture and communities through Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Primary responsibility will be assisting with a new project designed to improve sustainability of fresh produce production, working with a national food retailer and its supply chain.

The individual in this position will support the project coordinator in standards development and testing with producers, retail managers and project scientists; training; communications; and project evaluation and reporting. Ideal candidate will have experience in and demonstrated commitment to sustainable agriculture. Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.
