REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TO NYFVIS AGRICULTURAL INNOVATION CENTER GRANT PROGRAM The New York Farm Viability Institute seeks proposals for projects of no more than two years in duration that work directly with agricultural producers. Sectors of interest include, but are not limited to, field and horticultural crops, livestock, dairy, greenhouse, nursery, turf grass, equine, aquaculture and other agricultural enterprises. Projects should focus on developing business plans, expanding marketing opportunities, creating sound business structures, adding enterprises to existing farm businesses, or enhancing the development, production and marketing of farm-based value-added products. Priority will be given to projects that emphasize strategic business planning and development or adding value to products that farmers sell. Priority will be given to projects that include producer participation across agricultural sectors, commodities and regions of the state.
