Friends of Long Island Horticulture Proposals

Deadline: February 1, 2008

Call for 2008 Friends of Long Island Horticulture Proposals

The Friends of Long Island Horticulture was formed in 1993 to encourage and support the research and extension activities that have direct and beneficial impact on the horticultural and agricultural industries on Long Island. Funds for this program are provided by Long Island horticultural crops producers, suppliers and handlers, Cornell alumni, Cornell University, and friends of the Long Island Horticultural Research and Extension Center (LIHREC). Since the beginning of the Friends program, more than $350,000 in grants has been awarded. The Friends of Long Island Horticulture committee invites the faculty and staff of Cornell University and the professional staff of Cornell Cooperative Extension agricultural programs to submit proposals for the 2008 grants program. Proposal guidelines are available from Dr. Mark Bridgen and he can be reached at mpb27@cornell.edu or 631-727-3595. The deadline for submission is February 1, 2008.
