Northeastern IPM Center
FIFRA Boot Camp I for Pesticide Workshop July 25-26

Our popular FIFRA Boot Camp I for Pesticide Registrants will be held on July 25 & 26, 2006. Previously held over twenty times, the workshop always fills up very fast and we end up turning people away. If you or a colleague want to attend in July, we urge you to sign up now.

This intense, two-day workshop is built around an integrated, structured curriculum taught from a real-world perspective by leading scientists, regulatory experts and attorneys.

Our new location - the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City near Washington's Reagan National Airport - is across the street from EPA's Office of Pesticide Programs' new building, thus allowing you to also meet with EPA (make an appointment first, however!) while in the Washington, DC, area.

Topics covered during the workshop include:

-- Conventional Pesticides, Antimicrobials and Bio-Pesticides Do the Differences Matter?

-- Is It a Pesticide and If So, Is It Regulated by EPA?

-- What is a Device Verses a Pesticide?

-- Label Requirements and Associated Labeling Claims

-- Understanding the Types of Registrations Available from EPA and How They Fit into Your Company's Business Strategies

-- PRIA Fee-For-Service Requirements and What They Mean to Your Company

-- Using the Part 158 Data Tables What the Regulations Say, Verses the Real World

-- Data Requirements for New and Existing Active Ingredients It Costs How Much???

-- Data Citation, Compensation and Cost Sharing Negotiation and Arbitration

-- Re-registration and Data Call-Ins Does it Ever End???

-- Other (Inert) Ingredients Understanding EPAs Confusing Requirements

-- Import and Export Requirements

-- State Regulatory Programs What Ever Happened to Preemption?

-- Adverse Effects Reporting Requirements

-- Regulatory Requirements for Pesticide Production and Pesticide Producing Establishments

-- Enforcement Issues Some Days You Eat the Bear, and Some Days the Bear Eats You
