-Report from each of the PPDC Work Groups (Spray Drift and National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES); Worker Safety; Performance Measures; Consumer Pesticide Label Improvement; and PRIA Process Improvements.
-Program updates on registration, reregistration and tolerance reassessment, and a presentation on the impaired water body data pilot program with the Office of Water.
-Brief update on human studies
-Discussion of Enhancements to the incident data base.
The PPDC is a federally chartered advisory committee composed of 45 members who were selected from a balanced group of participants representing the following sectors: pesticide user, grower, and commodity groups; industry and trade associations; environmental/public interest groups; farm worker groups; Federal, State and Tribal governments; public health organizations; animal welfare; and academia. The PPDC was established in 1995 to provide a public forum to discuss a wide variety of pesticide regulatory development and reform initiatives, evolving public policy and program implementation issues, and science policy issues associated with evaluating and reducing risks from use of pesticides. PPDC meetings are open to the public.
