That Notice did not explicitly provide for a 30-day period in which the public may comment. Accordingly, EPA is reopening the comment period for 30 days to allow the public to comment on any requests for voluntary cancellation listed in the October 28, 2005 Notice. Title: Pesticides; Minimal Risk Tolerance Exemptions Date of publication: May 31, 2006 Citation: Volume 71, Number 104, Page 30809-30811 http://www.epa.gov/fedrgstr/EPA-PEST/2006/May/Day-31/p8249.htm Purpose: This rule reorganizes the existing tolerance exemptions for 12 chemical substances that are now classified as ``minimal risk.'' The Agency is shifting the existing tolerance exemptions for these chemicals to 40 CFR 180.950(e). The Agency is merely moving certain tolerance exemptions from one section of the CFR to another section. No tolerance exemptions are lost or added as a result of this action. The Interregional Research Project Number 4 (IR-4), on behalf of the registrant, DuPont Crop Protection, requested this tolerance under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA). Title: Inorganic Bromide; Proposed Tolerance Actions Date of publication: May 31, 2006 Citation: Volume 71, Number 104, Page 30845-30848 http://www.epa.gov/fedrgstr/EPA-PEST/2006/May/Day-31/p8398.htm Purpose: EPA is announcing that 12 specific inorganic bromide tolerances have been reassessed and is proposing to revoke them because they are no longer needed. These twelve tolerances are for residues of inorganic bromide from pre-plant (non-food) use in or on raw agricultural commodities grown in soil fumigated with combinations of chloropicrin, methyl bromide, and propargyl bromide. Title: Zoxamide; Pesticide Tolerance Date of publication: June 1, 2006 Citation: Volume 71, Number 105, Page 31102-31104 http://www.epa.gov/fedrgstr/EPA-PEST/2006/June/Day-01/p8395.htm Purpose: EPA issued a final rule in the Federal Register of September 26, 2001, concerning a tolerance for combined residues of zoxamide, 3,5-dichloro-N-(3-chloro-1-ethyl-1-methyl-2-oxopropyl)-4- methylbenzamide and its metabolites 3,5-dichloro-1,4- benzenedicarboxylic acid, and 3,5-dichloro-4-hydroxymethylbenzoic acid in or on tomato and in or on the cucurbit vegetable crop group 9. This rule is being issued to correct the expression and placement of the tolerance for residues of zoxamide in or on tomato, and in or on cucurbit, vegetable crop group 9. Chemical(s): Zoxamide Comments; This Direct Final Rule is effective on August 30, 2006 without notice, unless EPA receives adverse comment by July 31, 2006. If, however, EPA receives adverse comment, EPA will publish a Federal Register document to withdraw the direct final rule before the effective date. If this Direct Final Rule becomes effective on August 30, 2006, any person may file an objection to any aspect of this regulation and may also request a hearing on those objections. In addition, the PPDC Work Groups will meet on June 13-14, 2006. A draft agenda has been developed and is posted on EPA's web site. Chemical(s):N/A Comments: The PPDC meeting will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2006, from 9: a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 1. The PPDC Spray Drift/NPDES Work Group will meet on Tuesday, June 13, 2006, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. 2. On Wednesday morning, June 14, 2006, the PPDC Worker Safety Work Group will meet from 9 a.m. to noon, and the PPDC Performance Measures Work Group will also meet from 9 a.m. to noon. 3. On Wednesday afternoon, June 14, 2006, the PPDC Consumer Pesticide Label Improvement Work Group will meet from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the PPDC PRIA Process Improvement Work Group will also meet from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. All of the meetings will be held in the Conference Center on the lobby level at EPA's location at 1 Potomac Yard South, 2999 Crystal Drive, Arlington, VA.
