- AFRI Sustainable Agricultural Systems
USDA NIFA. Focuses on approaches that promote transformational changes in the U.S. food and agriculture system within the next 25 years. Projects should significantly improve the supply of abundant, affordable, safe, nutritious, and accessible food, while providing sustainable opportunities for expansion of the bioeconomy through novel animal, crop, and forest products and supporting technologies. Total funding: $80 million. Letter of intent due: June 27, 2018. Deadline: Oct. 10, 2018.
- Conservation Stewardship Program
USDA NRCS. Encourages producers to address resource concerns by undertaking additional conservation activities and improving, maintaining, and managing existing conservation activities. Deadline: Ongoing.
- Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)
USDA NRCS. Provides financial and technical assistance to help agricultural producers plan and implement conservation practices that address natural resource concerns. Includes Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) and Conservation Activity Plans (CAP). Deadline: Ongoing.
