Spotted Wing Drosophila Detected in New Jersey
The first spotted wing drosophila were detected in blueberry fields in New Jersey during the week of July 7, 2011. Drosophila suzukii, a small vinegar fly with the potential to damage many fruit crops, may be a future threat to northeastern crops.
