Description This study tested the effectiveness of English, Spanish, and Somali education versus inexpensive cleaning procedures in reducing cat, cockroach, dust mite, and fungi allergen levels in low-income housing. Overall, cleaning and education significantly reduced the allergen levels of cat, dust, and fungi, but not cockroaches.
