Description Natural habitat around agriculture has a lot of benefits, and a study in the Journal of Applied Ecology by University of California, Davis, scientists shows that farms with surrounding natural habitat experience the most benefits from wild birds. That goes a bit against the common practice of removing natural habitat in order to discourage wildlife from hanging out around crops and bringing in foodborne pathogens.
